Garlic Steak Tortellini is a rich and satisfying one-skillet meal featuring tender steak slices, cheese-filled tortellini, and a creamy garlic-Parmesan sauce. This quick and indulgent dish is perfect for busy nights or cozy dinners in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 1012 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak slices for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until slightly thickened, 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked tortellini and steak back to the skillet. Toss gently to coat in the sauce.
  7. Simmer for 1–2 more minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use spinach or mushroom tortellini for variety.
  • Add fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Swap heavy cream with half-and-half or a mix of milk and cream cheese for a lighter version.
  • Top with extra Parmesan or a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat gently with a splash of cream or milk.
