30-Minute Moist Banana Cream Cheese Muffins are soft, fluffy banana muffins with a sweet, tangy cream cheese filling. They’re quick to make, full of flavor, and perfect for breakfast, snacking, or sharing.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or oil
  • 1/4 cup milk or yogurt
  • Cream cheese filling:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line or grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk mashed bananas, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, melted butter, and milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon just until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with batter, add a spoonful of cream cheese filling, then top with more batter to cover.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until tops are golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Add chocolate chips or walnuts for texture.
  • Swirl cream cheese into the batter for a marbled effect.
  • Top with oat crumble for a bakery-style muffin.
  • Use whole wheat flour for a heartier version.
  • Freeze individually and reheat in the microwave for a quick snack.
