These 4-Ingredient Pecan Balls are buttery, nutty, and irresistibly simple. Made with just flour, butter, sugar, and chopped pecans, these melt-in-your-mouth cookies are perfect for holidays, gifting, or a quick homemade treat. Dip in chocolate or dust with powdered sugar for an easy dessert everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Melted chocolate (optional, for drizzling or dipping)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for rolling after baking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, chopped pecans, and a pinch of salt. The dough will be crumbly but should hold when pressed.
  3. Roll dough into 1–1.5 inch balls using your hands. Slightly dampen hands if needed to help shape the balls.
  4. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden on the bottom.
  5. Let the cookies cool on the pan. Once fully cooled, optionally drizzle with melted chocolate or roll in powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Dough is naturally crumbly—just press it gently to form.
  • Add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for a spiced twist.
  • Can substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds.
