Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are crispy, golden homemade fries tossed in buttery garlic and Parmesan. Quick, flavorful, and healthier than deep-fried, they’re perfect as a snack, side, or party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes (or Yukon Gold), washed and cut into thin fries
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and pat completely dry with a towel.
  2. Toss fries in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place fries in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed).
  4. Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until fries are golden and crisp.
  5. Meanwhile, melt butter and stir in minced garlic (if using).
  6. Once fries are done, toss them in garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for heat or Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
  • Use sweet potatoes for a sweeter variation.
  • Skip butter for a lighter version and toss fries straight in Parmesan.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket to ensure fries get crispy.
