These Air Fryer Salmon Bites are tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and full of sweet-savory flavor from a soy-based marinade. They cook in under 10 minutes and are perfect for bowls, salads, or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari/coconut aminos)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • Fresh lemon or lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut salmon fillets into evenly sized bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, tossing to coat. Let sit for 5–10 minutes while preheating the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange salmon pieces in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  6. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until salmon is cooked through and edges are slightly crispy.
  7. Serve immediately with rice, noodles, vegetables, or salad, and a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Notes

  • Add sriracha or chili paste to the marinade for a spicy version.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving for extra flavor.
  • Use store-bought teriyaki sauce instead of honey-soy for a quick variation.
  • Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  • Thaw frozen salmon completely before marinating for best flavor absorption.
