Candied Almonds with Kinder Chocolate are a sweet, crunchy treat featuring caramelized almonds coated in rich, creamy Kinder chocolate. This easy, gourmet-style snack is perfect for gifting, entertaining, or enjoying straight from the jar.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 46 Kinder chocolate bars, chopped or melted
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add almonds, sugar, water, and salt.
  2. Stir constantly. The mixture will become syrupy, then grainy as the sugar crystallizes, and finally caramelize into a glossy coating.
  3. Transfer almonds to a parchment-lined tray and spread out. Let cool completely.
  4. Melt Kinder chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  5. Once almonds are cool, drizzle or toss with melted chocolate, depending on desired coverage.
  6. Spread chocolate-coated almonds on parchment paper and let set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • Add cinnamon or vanilla to the sugar mixture for extra flavor.
  • Use dark chocolate or Nutella instead of Kinder for variations.
  • Top with sea salt, orange zest, or crushed freeze-dried raspberries for a festive twist.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain crunch and freshness.
  • Perfect for gifting in jars or treat bags.
