Chicken Noodle Casserole is a classic comfort food made with tender egg noodles, shredded chicken, a creamy sauce, and a crispy topping. It’s easy to prepare, family-friendly, and perfect for make-ahead meals or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional – peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Stir in cooked noodles, chicken, optional vegetables, and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish and spread evenly.
  6. Mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter in a small bowl and sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
