A comforting and hearty Chicken Parm Pasta featuring tender chicken, rich marinara sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and plenty of melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. This easy, family-style dish brings classic chicken Parmesan flavors into one simple meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and lightly golden.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with sauce.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Cover and cook on low heat for a few minutes until cheese melts, or transfer to a baking dish and broil briefly until bubbly and slightly golden.
  9. Garnish with chopped basil or parsley and serve.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker preparation.
  • Add ricotta for extra creaminess.
