Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 12 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk heavy cream, milk, sugar, peppermint extract, food coloring (if using), and salt until sugar dissolves.
  2. Pour into ice cream maker and churn per manufacturer’s directions (about 20–25 minutes) until soft-serve consistency.
  3. Add mini chocolate chips during the last 2–3 minutes of churning.
  4. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze at least 4 hours until firm.
  5. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy.

Notes

  • Skip food coloring for a natural white mint look.
  • Use dark chocolate chunks, crushed peppermint, or hot fudge swirls for variation.
  • Add Oreo crumbs for a cookies-and-mint twist.
  • For dairy-free, substitute coconut cream and almond or oat milk.
