A fresh and vibrant cilantro lime salmon featuring tender, flaky fillets brushed with a zesty citrus and herb marinade.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the cilantro lime mixture evenly over each fillet.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Marinate the salmon for 15–30 minutes for deeper flavor.
  • Add chili powder or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Grill instead of baking for a smoky variation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to prevent drying, or enjoy cold over salads.
