These Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips are a crispy, naturally sweet snack made with just bananas, oil, and cinnamon. Gluten-free, vegan, and refined sugar-free, they’re perfect as a healthy treat or crunchy topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 green or slightly yellow bananas
  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Slice bananas into ¼-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a small bowl, mix oil and cinnamon.
  4. Toss banana slices with the cinnamon-oil mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Place slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed.
  6. Air fry for 25–28 minutes, flipping halfway through. Monitor closely at the end to prevent burning.
  7. Let banana chips cool for 5–10 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • Use green or slightly ripe bananas for the crispiest chips.
  • Experiment with flavors like nutmeg, cardamom, or coconut sugar.
  • For a savory version, use smoked paprika and sea salt instead of cinnamon.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 250°F for 3–5 minutes to restore crispiness.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
