This copycat Longhorn garlic parmesan broccoli is a buttery, cheesy side dish featuring tender broccoli tossed in garlic butter and parmesan. It’s quick, flavorful, and just like your favorite steakhouse version.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Steam broccoli for 3–4 minutes until bright green and just tender. Do not overcook.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat in garlic butter.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and toss again until evenly coated and slightly melted.
  6. Serve warm, topped with extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Roast the broccoli instead of steaming for a deeper flavor.
  • Add a splash of cream with garlic butter for a creamy version.
  • Top with toasted breadcrumbs for crunch.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for best melt and taste.
  • Frozen broccoli works—just steam and drain well first.
