Cottage cheese dip is a creamy, protein-rich appetizer or snack made with blended cottage cheese, fresh herbs, lemon juice, and simple seasonings. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for dipping, spreading, or meal prepping.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 clove garlic or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (dill, chives, or parsley), chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes or paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine cottage cheese, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add chopped herbs and pulse or stir until just combined.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Garnish with extra herbs or red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Chill for at least 10 minutes before serving, or refrigerate until ready to eat.

Notes

  • Blend in avocado for extra creaminess.
  • Add hot sauce or cayenne for a spicy version.
  • Mix in sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers for a Mediterranean flavor.
  • Skip the blender for a chunkier, rustic texture.
  • Top with everything bagel seasoning for added flavor.
