Crack chicken tenders are juicy chicken strips coated in a cheesy, ranch-seasoned mixture, then baked or air-fried until golden and bubbly. A flavorful, comforting dish that’s super easy and incredibly addictive.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders or boneless chicken breasts (cut into strips)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed buttery crackers (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fold in chopped green onions, if using.
  4. Pat chicken dry and spread the cheese mixture evenly over each strip.
  5. Optional: sprinkle breadcrumbs or crushed crackers on top for crunch.
  6. Place on baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and topping is golden.
  7. Let rest a few minutes before serving hot.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy version.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella.
  • For keto, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
