Cranberry Brie with Honey-Balsamic Cranberry Sauce is a festive, creamy appetizer featuring warm baked brie topped with a sweet-tart cranberry sauce infused with honey and balsamic vinegar. Perfect for holidays or entertaining with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Crackers, baguette slices, or crostini (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, orange zest (if using), and salt.
  3. Simmer over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens. Set aside.
  4. Place brie on the prepared baking sheet or in a small baking dish. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the center is soft (gently press with a spoon to test).
  5. Remove from oven and spoon warm cranberry sauce over the brie.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or warm bread.

Notes

  • Add chopped toasted nuts (pecans or walnuts) for texture.
  • Maple syrup can replace honey for a deeper sweetness.
  • Use store-bought cranberry sauce and enhance with balsamic and zest if needed.
  • Wrap brie in puff pastry for a baked en croûte version.
