Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a bold, comforting dish made with seasoned chicken, rich Cajun-spiced cream sauce, and tender fettuccine. It’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions, delivering restaurant-quality flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and slice.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring gently. Simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly. Add more Cajun seasoning if desired.
  7. Add cooked pasta, sliced chicken, and parsley to the skillet. Toss to coat. Add pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
  8. Serve warm with extra Parmesan and parsley on top.

Notes

  • Add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms for extra texture.
  • Use shrimp or sausage for protein variation.
  • Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Store leftovers in fridge and reheat with added cream or broth.
