A rich and comforting pasta dish made with tender shrimp, garlic cream sauce, and melty mozzarella—perfect for a cozy, cheesy dinner that feels fancy but is easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan (if using), stirring until melted and smooth.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Deglaze with a splash of white wine for acidity.
  • Swap in scallops or chicken if preferred.
  • Smoked paprika adds a subtle smokiness.
