Creamy Ranch Chicken is a quick and comforting skillet dish made with juicy chicken breasts simmered in a rich, tangy ranch-seasoned cream cheese sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, it pairs well with mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1 packet (about 1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, and chicken broth. Stir until cream cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10–15 minutes until chicken is fully cooked through.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for juicier meat.
  • Add cooked  sautéed mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Swap cream cheese with Greek yogurt or reduced-fat cream cheese for a lighter version.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of broth or milk to maintain sauce texture.
  • Best stored in the fridge for up to 3 days; not recommended for freezing.
