Creamy Shrimp Cheese Rolls are warm, golden pastries filled with a creamy blend of shrimp, cream cheese, and shredded cheese. Perfectly indulgent, they’re easy to make and ideal for parties, snacks, or light meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or chives
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough, puff pastry, or pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (optional, for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic, green onions, salt, pepper, and optional paprika or chili flakes.
  3. Roll out the dough and cut into squares or triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough piece and roll or fold to seal.
  5. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden crust.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Optional: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with herbs before serving.

Notes

  • Use puff pastry for a flakier texture or pizza dough for a more bread-like roll.
  • Make it spicier with Cajun seasoning or hot sauce in the filling.
  • Mix in extra cheese like parmesan or Gruyere for richness.
  • Freeze unbaked rolls for make-ahead convenience.
  • Best enjoyed warm, but good at room temperature too.
