A bold and satisfying sandwich that combines crispy fried chicken with all the best parts of a Caesar salad — creamy dressing, crisp romaine, and sharp parmesan on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (or air frying)
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup shaved or grated parmesan cheese
  • 24 brioche buns or sandwich rolls, toasted
  • Optional: lemon wedges, cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken to even thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Set up breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko in a third.
  3. Coat chicken in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing to adhere.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Toast buns while chicken rests. Toss romaine with Caesar dressing and prep parmesan.
  6. Assemble sandwich: bottom bun, crispy chicken, Caesar-dressed lettuce, parmesan, top bun.
  7. Serve immediately with extra dressing or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Bake at 400°F or air fry at 375°F for a lighter version.
  • Use crispy tofu or breaded cauliflower for a vegetarian option.
  • Add chili flakes or hot sauce to dressing for spice.
  • Add croutons for extra crunch inside the sandwich.
  • Assemble fresh to keep lettuce and bun from getting soggy.
