Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a creamy, comforting slow-cooker dinner made with tender chicken in a rich Italian-inspired sauce. Served over angel hair pasta, it’s an easy and satisfying dish perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1.52 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup (low sodium)
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix (e.g., Good Seasons)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta, cooked

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, melted butter, garlic, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour sauce mixture over the chicken, spreading it evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Remove chicken and shred or leave whole. Stir sauce until smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the sauce or serve over cooked angel hair pasta with sauce spooned on top.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley, black pepper, or Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for richer flavor and budget-friendly option.
  • Double garlic or add garlic powder for extra flavor.
  • Substitute pasta with mashed potatoes, rice, or other pasta shapes.
  • Add steamed broccoli or peas before serving for extra veggies.
  • Make homemade cream soup or dressing mix for cleaner ingredients.
