Crockpot Lasagne is a slow-cooked, no-boil version of the classic Italian dish, layered with tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheeses. It’s an easy, hands-off comfort food that’s perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 jar (24–28 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 box regular lasagne noodles (not oven-ready)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 container (15 oz) ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet, season with salt and pepper, then stir in spaghetti sauce.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta or cottage cheese with egg (if using), salt, and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Add a layer of uncooked lasagne noodles, breaking them to fit as needed.
  5. Spread a layer of ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella—ending with sauce and final mozzarella layer.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
  8. Let lasagne rest for 15–20 minutes before serving for easier slicing.

Notes

  • Use regular uncooked lasagne noodles—not oven-ready—for best texture.
  • Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini for extra nutrition.
  • Try ground turkey or Italian sausage for a twist on the classic flavor.
  • Freezes well in individual portions for future meals.
