This Cucumber Gimlet is a refreshing twist on the classic gin cocktail, blending crisp cucumber juice with botanical gin, bright lime, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for summer brunches, garden parties, or relaxing evenings, it’s elegant, easy to make, and beautifully garnished with cucumber ribbons for a stunning presentation.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin (Hendrick’s Flora Adora recommended)
  • Fresh cucumber (peeled, muddled for juice)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice (or lime cordial for a sweeter version)
  • ¾ oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water dissolved)
  • Optional garnish: cucumber ribbon on a cocktail pick
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint sprig

Instructions

  1. Muddle Cucumber: Peel cucumber and muddle a few slices in a cocktail shaker to release juice and flavor.
  2. Add Ingredients: Pour in gin, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Shake: Fill shaker with ice, shake vigorously until chilled.
  4. Strain: Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  5. Garnish: Add cucumber ribbon and/or mint sprig for presentation.

Notes

  • Replace simple syrup with honey syrup or elderflower liqueur for flavor variation.
  • Add sparkling water for a lighter, fizzy cocktail.
  • Make cucumber juice ahead of time, but use within 24 hours for freshness.
