Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a simple indulgence, it’s served with toasted baguette slices or crackers for an irresistible bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes or 2 Roma tomatoes, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Baguette slices or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Let the Boursin cheese soften slightly at room temperature.
  2. Finely dice tomatoes and place them in a bowl.
  3. Add chopped basil and minced garlic to the bowl.
  4. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze or vinegar over the tomato mixture.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then mix gently to combine.
  6. Spread the softened Boursin cheese evenly on a serving plate or shallow bowl.
  7. Spoon the tomato mixture over the cheese layer.
  8. Chill for 10–15 minutes to let the flavors meld, or serve immediately.
  9. Serve with toasted baguette slices or crackers.

Notes

  • Use cherry tomatoes for a sweeter, less watery topping.
  • Make the tomato mix ahead and assemble before serving to keep it fresh.
  • For a dairy-free option, substitute with a garlic herb dairy-free spread.
  • Add kalamata olives or crumbled feta for a Mediterranean twist.
  • Not suitable for freezing; best served chilled or at room temperature.
