These Easy Christmas Pecan Turtles are a festive, no-bake treat made with pecans, caramel, and chocolate. Perfect for holiday cookie trays or edible gifts, they come together quickly with just a few ingredients and deliver irresistible sweet-salty flavor.

Ingredients

  • 96 pecan halves (about 4 per turtle)
  • 24 soft caramel candies (such as Werther’s or Kraft)
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • Optional: flaky sea salt, holiday sprinkles, or white chocolate drizzle for topping

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Arrange 4 pecan halves in a star or cross shape to form turtle bases.
  3. Place one unwrapped caramel on top of each pecan cluster.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 4–5 minutes until caramels soften but don’t melt.
  5. Remove from oven and gently press caramel down onto pecans.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Spoon a dollop of melted chocolate onto each turtle, spreading to cover caramel.
  8. Top with sea salt, sprinkles, or a white chocolate drizzle if desired.
  9. Cool at room temp or chill in the fridge until chocolate is set.

Notes

  • Use dark chocolate for a less sweet option.
  • Drizzle with red and green candy melts for holiday flair.
  • Add cinnamon or chili powder to chocolate for a spicy twist.
  • Make mini turtles with 2 pecan halves and half a caramel.
  • Toast pecans before assembling for extra flavor.
