Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and cook for 3–4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Add a splash of water and cover briefly to steam if needed.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth until smooth.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  8. Drizzle in sesame oil and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  • Add carrots, bell peppers, or snap peas for extra vegetables.

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Add a splash of broth when reheating if the sauce thickens.
