Easy Pizza Roses are hand-held pizza rolls shaped like roses, made with dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings. Baked in a muffin tin, they’re golden, melty, and perfect for snacks, parties, or fun dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade)
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 slices pepperoni (or other toppings like salami, sausage, or veggies)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with parchment circles.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle and cut into 6–8 long strips about 2 inches wide.
  3. Spread a thin layer of sauce on each strip. Sprinkle with mozzarella and lay overlapping pepperoni slices along the top edge.
  4. Fold the bottom of the dough strip up to cover the lower half of the toppings.
  5. Roll the strip from one end to the other to form a rose shape and place into a muffin cup.
  6. Brush tops with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and optional Parmesan.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until dough is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let cool a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Try different sauces like pesto or BBQ for a flavor twist.
  • Use muffin tins to help roses hold shape and prevent unrolling.
  • Make mini roses by cutting thinner strips for bite-sized versions.
  • Use gluten-free dough and toppings for a GF version.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze individually.
