Green Bean Casserole Bites are a mini, appetizer-friendly spin on the classic holiday side. Made with creamy green bean filling in crisp phyllo cups and topped with fried onions, they’re perfect for parties and potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked green beans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream of mushroom soup (or homemade)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 24 mini phyllo cups or small pastry shells
  • 1/2 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange phyllo cups on a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped green beans, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cheese if using.
  3. Spoon the mixture evenly into each phyllo cup.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the filling is hot and bubbly.
  5. Top each bite with crispy fried onions and return to the oven for another 2–3 minutes until golden.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use thawed and drained frozen green beans if fresh are unavailable.
  • Add chopped mushrooms or shallots for extra flavor.
  • Puff pastry cutouts or mini biscuit dough can replace phyllo cups.
  • Prepare filling in advance and assemble just before baking.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
