Grilled Salmon with Dijon Sauce is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish featuring perfectly grilled salmon fillets topped with a tangy, creamy Dijon mustard sauce. It’s light yet satisfying, ideal for summer dinners or elegant weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Fresh dill or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  2. Brush salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill salmon for 4–5 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While salmon grills, whisk together Dijon mustard, mayonnaise or yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and honey (if using) in a small bowl.
  5. Transfer grilled salmon to a plate and drizzle with Dijon sauce or serve sauce on the side.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Add capers or shallots to the sauce for more texture and flavor.
  • Mix in whole grain mustard or hot sauce for a spicier twist.
  • If not grilling, bake salmon at 400°F for 12–15 minutes.
  • The sauce can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
  • Serve with rice, grilled vegetables, or salad for a complete meal.
