Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer for a few minutes.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 8–10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for additional browning.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter option.
Add red pepper flakes for mild heat.
Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes to enjoy the creamy sauce.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently, adding a splash of milk or broth if needed.
