These Jalapeno Peach Chicken Skewers are a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory. With juicy chicken, caramelized peaches, and bold jalapeno heat, each skewer is finished with a sticky homemade peach glaze. Air fryer-friendly and full of flavor, they’re a summer dinner favorite or BBQ crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • For the Skewers:
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 yellow peaches, pitted and quartered
  • 3 jalapeno peppers, halved and seeded
  • For the Peach Glaze:
  • ½ cup peach preserves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • ⅛ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Toss chicken cubes with salt, pepper, chili powder, and olive oil. Let sit while you prep the glaze and skewers.
  2. Alternate chicken, peach slices, and jalapeno on skewers.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Brush skewers with oil and place in a single layer. Cook for 11–12 minutes, turning halfway, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. In a saucepan, combine all glaze ingredients. Simmer on medium-low for 5 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  5. Brush warm skewers with glaze and serve immediately. Offer extra glaze on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Can be grilled or baked instead of air-fried.
  • For more heat, keep jalapeno seeds or add more red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute peaches with nectarines or apricots.
  • Great served over rice, quinoa, or greens.
  • Make glaze and assemble skewers in advance for easy prep.
