These Mini Grilled Cheese Hearts are crispy, melty, and full of charm—perfect for kids, parties, or cozy snacks. Made with just bread, cheese, and butter, they turn a classic comfort food into a fun and festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese or American cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Place cheese slices between bread slices to make two sandwiches and gently press them together.
  2. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut each sandwich into heart shapes. Reserve scraps if desired.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Lightly butter one side of each heart sandwich.
  4. Place hearts butter-side down in the skillet and butter the top side.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, flipping carefully, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from pan, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
