This One-Pan Cheeseburger Pie Dinner transforms classic cheeseburger flavors into a hearty, skillet-baked meal with savory beef, melty cheese, and a golden biscuit crust. It’s family-friendly, easy to prepare, and perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade biscuit dough)
  • Sliced pickles (optional, for topping)
  • Tomato slices (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until the beef is browned and onions are soft.
  3. Drain excess grease. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Remove skillet from heat and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  5. Place biscuit dough pieces over the cheese layer, spacing slightly apart.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let cool slightly. Top with sliced pickles or tomatoes, if using. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Add jalapeños or use pepper jack for a spicy twist.
  • Use homemade biscuit dough for a from-scratch version.
  • Skip the biscuits for a low-carb, lettuce-wrapped option.
  • Leftover beef filling can be frozen and reheated later with fresh biscuits.
