This One Pot Beefaroni is a comforting, cheesy dish that combines ground beef, elbow macaroni, and a rich tomato sauce in a single pan. It’s quick, kid-friendly, and perfect for busy weeknights with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in uncooked macaroni. Reduce heat, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once pasta is tender and sauce is thickened, remove from heat.
  8. Optional: Stir in or top with shredded cheese before serving.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for turkey or sausage.
  • Add veggies like bell peppers or zucchini with the onions.
  • Stir in cream cheese or a splash of cream for a richer sauce.
  • Use any pasta shape you have on hand.
  • Add chili flakes or hot sauce for a spicier version.
