Parmesan Crusted Tortellini Bites are crispy, cheesy appetizers made with breaded cheese tortellini, seasoned breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Baked or air-fried to golden perfection, they’re perfect for parties, snacking, or as a fun twist on pasta night.

Ingredients

  • 1 (9 oz) package cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil
  • Marinara sauce or dip of choice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third.
  3. Dredge each tortellini in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. To bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place coated tortellini on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray and bake for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. To air fry: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice.
  6. Serve warm with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use meat-filled or spinach tortellini for variation.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mix for spice.
  • Substitute panko breadcrumbs for added crunch.
  • Freeze uncooked, breaded tortellini on a tray before transferring to a freezer bag for later use.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to restore crispiness—avoid microwaving.
