This Peach Crisp combines juicy, cinnamon-infused peaches with a buttery, oatmeal crumble topping for a comforting, sweet dessert. Perfect for any occasion, this easy-to-make treat is a crowd-pleaser when served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups peeled and thinly sliced fresh peaches
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (divided)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 ¾ cups old-fashioned oats

Instructions

  1. Prep the Peaches: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Butter a 9×9-inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt. Toss to coat and transfer to the prepared dish.
  2. Make the Topping: In the same bowl, mix the remaining flour, brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add room-temperature butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats to form a streusel topping.
  3. Assemble and Bake: Evenly scatter the oat topping over the peaches. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  4. Rest and Serve: Let the peach crisp rest for 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
  • Feel free to add berries like blueberries or raspberries to the peach filling.
  • For a gluten-free version, swap out the flour with a gluten-free blend.
