Peanut Butter Cup Brownies are rich, fudgy bars layered with full-size peanut butter cups for a decadent chocolate and peanut butter treat. Combining homemade brownie batter with creamy candy, this easy dessert is perfect for parties, potlucks, or a cozy indulgence at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 16 full-size chocolate peanut butter cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly spray with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat melted butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir until fully combined.
  4. Spread half of the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Arrange peanut butter cups over the batter in a single layer.
  5. Carefully spread the remaining batter over the peanut butter cups to cover them completely.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars for best results.

Notes

  • Chop or use mini peanut butter cups for a different texture or presentation.
  • Swirl a few spoonfuls of peanut butter on top before baking for extra richness.
  • Use boxed brownie mix if short on time—just layer with peanut butter cups.
  • Cool completely before slicing for clean, neat squares.
