Pumpkin Patch Brownies are a festive fall treat combining rich chocolate brownies with a creamy pumpkin cheesecake swirl, topped with candy pumpkins for a fun Halloween touch.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar (divided)
  • 3 large eggs (divided)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Candy pumpkins, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with 1 cup sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Add 2 eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in flour and salt just until combined.
  3. Pour most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving some for the swirl.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with 1/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add 1 egg, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice, mixing until creamy.
  5. Spread the pumpkin mixture over the brownie batter in the pan. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Cool completely, then top with candy pumpkins, pressing gently.
  8. Slice into squares and serve once fully cooled.

Notes

  • Use a 9×13-inch pan for thinner brownies and more servings.
  • Let brownies cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temp or 1 week in the fridge.
  • Optional: Add chocolate chips to the batter for extra richness.
