These Pumpkin-Shaped Sliders are adorable, flavorful mini sandwiches perfect for fall gatherings, Halloween parties, or Thanksgiving appetizers. Made with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and soft pumpkin-shaped buns, they combine creativity and comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 cheddar cheese slices
  • 8 slider buns or small rolls
  • 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • 8 small pretzel sticks (for stems)
  • Green herbs or spinach leaves (for garnish, optional)
  • Kitchen string (for shaping buns)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Shape slider buns into pumpkin forms by loosely tying kitchen string around each one to create grooves.
  3. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Remove string after baking.
  4. While buns bake, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Once cooked, place a slice of cheese over each patty and let it melt slightly.
  6. Assemble sliders by placing patties on pumpkin-shaped buns.
  7. Insert a pretzel stick on top as the pumpkin stem and garnish with herb or spinach leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Use turkey, chicken, or veggie patties for variations.
  • Mini portobello mushrooms make great vegetarian substitutes.
  • Add caramelized onions or pickles for more flavor.
  • Try a sweet twist by spreading cranberry sauce under the cheese.
  • To reheat, warm in oven at 325°F for 10 minutes — avoid microwaving to prevent soggy buns.
