Quick & Easy Strawberry Danish is a bakery-style pastry made with flaky puff pastry, creamy sweetened cream cheese, and fresh strawberries. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a simple dessert that looks and tastes impressive with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting or glaze (optional)
  • 12 tsp lemon juice or milk (if making glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into 6–8 squares or rectangles.
  4. Lightly score a border around each piece and prick the center with a fork.
  5. Spread a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center and top with strawberry slices.
  6. Brush edges with egg wash and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice or milk, if desired.
