Skillet Halal Beef with Garlic Butter is a quick, rich, and savory dish featuring tender halal beef seared in garlic and finished with melting butter—ready in under 30 minutes and perfect over rice, breads, or greens.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound halal sirloin or ribeye beef, thinly sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, lemon juice, chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice beef into ¼‑inch strips and mince garlic. Prep butter, oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium‑high heat. Sear half the beef (without overcrowding), about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden. Remove and repeat with remaining beef.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Return seared beef to the skillet. Add butter and stir until melted, creating a glossy garlic butter coating. Season with salt and pepper to taste and let cook 1–2 minutes more.
  5. Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes during the garlic sauté for heat.
  • A splash of lemon juice at the end brings brightness.
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary stirred into the butter adds an aromatic touch.
  • Stir in sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, or zucchini with the beef for added veggies.
  • To make it creamy, swirl in a splash of cream at the end.
