Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1.5 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles in salted water until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  6. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  8. Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. In a bowl, mix sour cream and cream cheese until smooth.
  10. Combine cooked noodles with the sour cream mixture.
  11. Layer half of the noodles in the baking dish.
  12. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the noodles.
  13. Top with remaining noodles.
  14. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  15. Bake for 30 minutes, until hot and bubbly with lightly golden cheese.
  16. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
