  • 100g sweetened condensed milk or 100g cream cheese
  • 100g white or dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Crush Spekulatius cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth.
  3. Stir in condensed milk or cream cheese and optional rum or amaretto.
  4. Add cookie crumbs to the chocolate mixture and mix until a moldable dough forms.
  5. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes in the refrigerator to firm up.
  6. Roll into small balls and coat with cocoa powder, coconut, crushed cookies, or powdered sugar.
  7. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Roll in melted white chocolate for a sweeter finish.
  • Use almond extract instead of liquor for a kid-friendly version.
  • Add chopped nuts or candied orange peel for extra texture.
  • Mix in a spoonful of speculoos spread or nut butter for more creaminess.
  • Lightly oil hands when rolling to prevent sticking.
