Strawberry Kiss Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of sweet strawberry flavor, each topped with a chocolate kiss. They’re a festive, easy-to-make treat perfect for holidays, parties, or everyday indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses or other chocolate candies
  • Optional: pink sanding sugar or sprinkles for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls. If desired, roll in pink sugar or sprinkles.
  4. Place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cookies are set but still soft.
  6. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
  7. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the chocolate kisses in the freezer for 10 minutes before baking to help them keep their shape.
  • Try white chocolate kisses, heart-shaped candies, or drizzle with melted chocolate for variation.
  • Dough can be made up to 24 hours ahead and stored in the fridge.
  • To freeze, bake cookies without kisses, freeze, and add chocolate after lightly reheating.
  • Use gluten-free cake mix and certified gluten-free candies for a GF version.
