Whimsical Cotton Candy Cookies Delight are soft, colorful cookies infused with cotton candy flavor and pastel swirls. With their melt-in-your-mouth sweetness and playful look, they’re a magical treat perfect for parties, birthdays, or any time you want something fun and nostalgic.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp cotton candy flavoring or extract
  • 23 drops pink food coloring
  • 23 drops blue food coloring
  • 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles or sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and cotton candy extract until combined.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  6. Divide dough in half; tint one portion pink and the other blue with food coloring.
  7. Take small portions of each color and swirl them together gently to form a marble effect. Roll into balls and place on baking sheets.
  8. Flatten slightly and top with sprinkles if desired.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are soft.
  10. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • For extra sweetness, drizzle with melted white chocolate and top with sprinkles.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
