Whipped goat cheese with crispy pepperoni and hot honey is a bold, creamy, and crowd-pleasing appetizer. Tangy goat cheese is whipped until fluffy, topped with crunchy pepperoni, and finished with a drizzle of spicy-sweet hot honey for a rich and exciting flavor combo.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz soft goat cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese or 2 tbsp milk (for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 2 tsp olive oil or butter (for crisping pepperoni)
  • 23 tbsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade with honey + chili flakes)
  • Optional: fresh thyme, lemon zest, crushed red pepper, black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add goat cheese and cream cheese (or milk) to a food processor or mixing bowl. Whip until smooth and fluffy. Season with optional lemon zest, salt, or pepper if desired.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add pepperoni and cook until crispy and curled, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer pepperoni to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
  4. Spoon whipped goat cheese into a serving bowl or spread onto a plate.
  5. Top with crispy pepperoni and drizzle generously with hot honey.
  6. Garnish with optional herbs or crushed red pepper flakes.
  7. Serve immediately with bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • Make the whipped goat cheese up to 2 days ahead and chill—bring to room temp before serving.
  • Reheat pepperoni in a skillet or oven to re-crisp before serving leftovers.
  • Try whipped feta, ricotta, or cream cheese as substitutes.
  • Mix chili flakes into the cheese for extra heat.
  • Add hot honey just before serving for best texture.
