This Chicken Caesar Salad Flatbread is a quick and delicious fusion of crispy flatbread topped with savory grilled chicken, melty mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection and finished with a fresh, crunchy Caesar salad. Perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner, this recipe blends the comforting flavors of a classic Caesar salad with the satisfying texture of a warm flatbread.

Ingredients

Flatbread Base

  • 1 Stonefire Artisan Flatbread
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings

  • 1 grilled chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, divided

Salad

  • 1-2 romaine hearts
  • 2 tablespoons Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup croutons
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425º F (220º C) to ensure it’s hot enough to melt the cheese and crisp the flatbread properly.
  2. Prepare the Flatbread: Place the Stonefire Artisan Flatbread on a sheet pan. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and evenly sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder over the top for flavor.
  3. Add Chicken and Cheese: Slice the grilled chicken breast into strips and distribute them evenly over the flatbread. Then sprinkle 1/4 cup mozzarella and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken.
  4. Bake the Flatbread: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the edges of the flatbread are crisp and golden.
  5. Prepare the Caesar Salad: While the flatbread bakes, tear 1-2 romaine hearts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing, 1/4 cup croutons, the remaining 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss gently to combine.
  6. Assemble and Serve: Remove the baked flatbread from the oven and let it cool for 2 minutes. Cut the flatbread in half and place each half on a plate. Top generously with the prepared Caesar salad. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use pre-grilled chicken to save preparation time or grill your own chicken breast for added flavor.
  • To make it spicier, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when adding the garlic powder to the flatbread.
  • Stonefire Artisan Flatbread is recommended for texture, but any flatbread can be substituted.
  • For a richer dressing, add extra Parmesan or a drizzle of olive oil to the Caesar salad.
  • To keep the flatbread crisp, add the salad just before serving to prevent sogginess.
