Ingredients

Salmon and Seasoning

  • 2 lemons (1 sliced and 1 juiced)
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the salmon.
  2. Prepare Salmon Base: Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and arrange the lemon slices in the center. Place the salmon fillet on top of the lemon slices. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, then season evenly with paprika, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Bake the salmon for 12 minutes.
  3. Make the Honey Dijon Glaze: While the salmon is baking, in a small bowl combine the lemon juice from the juiced lemon, melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and chopped fresh parsley. Stir the mixture thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Glaze and Continue Baking: Remove the salmon from the oven once the initial 12 minutes are up. Brush the top of the salmon generously with the honey Dijon glaze.
  5. Finish Baking: Return the glazed salmon to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit at the thickest part.
