Indulge in this easy-to-make Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish Bake, a perfect sweet treat for breakfast or dessert featuring a creamy cheese filling and fresh strawberries baked in crescent roll dough.

Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dough and Topping

  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking your Danish.
  2. Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare Dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and press all the seams together to form one solid sheet.
  4. Place Dough in Dish: Grease a baking dish and press the prepared dough into it, making sure it fits evenly across the bottom and sides.
  5. Add Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the fitted dough inside the dish, creating a smooth layer.
  6. Add Strawberries: Scatter the sliced fresh strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer evenly.
  7. Fold Edges and Egg Wash: Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to partially enclose it. Brush the exposed dough edges with the beaten egg to give a golden, glossy finish once baked.
  8. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving for an elegant touch.

Notes

  • Serve the Danish warm to enjoy the best flavor and texture.
  • You can substitute strawberries with other fresh or frozen fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, or peaches for variety.
