This Mediterranean Lemon Feta Dip is a creamy, tangy, and refreshing appetizer perfect for parties, picnics, and potlucks. Made with feta cheese, Greek yogurt, and zesty lemon, it pairs beautifully with raw veggies or pita chips for a flavorful snack.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Feta cheese (block preferred, crumbled also works)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise (good quality such as Hellman’s or Duke’s)
  • Finely grated zest from 1 lemon (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 medium clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Garnish

  • Fresh dill
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Gather all the ingredients including feta cheese, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon zest and juice, garlic, and olive oil for blending.
  2. Blend the base: In the bowl of a food processor or blender, combine the feta cheese, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon zest, lemon juice, and garlic. Process for 3-4 minutes until the mixture is very smooth and creamy.
  3. Add olive oil: While blending, slowly add the 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and continue processing until fully incorporated and the dip has a luscious, smooth texture.
  4. Transfer and garnish: Spoon the dip into a serving bowl and smooth the surface. Use a small spoon to create a swirl pattern on top. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle fresh dill, and freshly ground black pepper for garnish.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately with assorted raw vegetables (crudités) or pita chips. For best flavor, the dip can be made several days ahead and refrigerated.
  6. Storage and serving tip: When making ahead, store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving and add a fresh drizzle of olive oil and herbs just before presenting.
